The Municipality of Port Hope is closely monitoring the anticipated storm expected tomorrow, April 2, 2025, which may bring heavy rain and potential freezing rain, particularly in the northern areas of the Municipality.

These conditions could further impact areas already experiencing power outages and limited cell and internet service.

We remind all residents of the importance of being prepared for emergencies. Please ensure you have adequate supplies, including water, food, flashlights, and batteries. For tips and resources on emergency preparedness, visit porthope.ca/emergency-preparedness.

To assist those affected, municipal staff will be available at Fire Station 3 on April 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing access to water, device charging, and a warm space.

Residents can also visit the Town Park Recreation Centre, Jack Burger Sports Complex, or Fire Station 1 for these services.

We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as more information becomes available.

Please stay informed through official municipal channels.

For emergency situations, please contact 911.

Stay safe, Port Hope
