Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 190 calls for service between 5:00 am on March 7, 2025 to 5:00 am on March 10, 2025.
Assault and Breach of Probation charges
On the 8th of March at 11:41am, police were called to a business in the city’s east end regarding a disturbance.
Upon arrival, police spoke to the parties involved. Police learned that a 38-year-old Belleville man had lost him temper and punched a female in the head.
The victim did not require medical attention. The subsequent investigation also revealed that the male was currently on Probation.
As a result, police arrested the male without incident and charged him with assault and two counts of breaching his Probation.
He was held for a bail hearing.
Domestic incident leads to arrest and charges
On the 8th of March at 12:42pm, police were called to a residence in the central part of town regarding a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival, police spoke to the involved individuals.
Police learned that the male involved had damaged an entrance door, smashed the female victim’s cell phone, assaulted her, threatened to kill her and pointed a firearm at her.
As a result, a 28-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with mischief under $5000, uttering threats, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and pointing a firearm.
He was held for a bail hearing.
Disturbance leads to assault causing bodily harm charges
On the 8th of March at 2:58am, police were called to a business on North Front St for a report of people fighting.
People were reported to be covered in blood.
The instigators had fled prior to police arrival.
Police spoke to a female victim who suffered injuries from the assault.
Police continued their investigation and as a result, arrested and charged 26-year-old Chase St-Aubin and 28-year-old Regghan Johnston-Parks both of Belleville with assault causing bodily harm.
Both were released on an Undertaking with a court date in April.
Traffic enforcement in Roslin results in two stunt driving charges
Throughout the day, on the 9th of March, members of the Belleville Police Traffic Safety Unit were performing speed enforcement in Roslin.
At 12:05pm, a vehicle was observed travelling at 104 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.
The vehicle was stopped and the 39-year-old driver from Hamilton was charged with stunt driving and issued a summons for a May traffic court date.
Additionally, their driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days and the vehicle impounded for 14 days.
At 1:40pm, a vehicle was observed travelling at 108 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.
The vehicle was stopped and the 34-year-old driver from Arden was charged with stunt driving and was issued a summons for a May traffic court date.
Additionally, their driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days and the vehicle impounded for 14 days.
Suspended Driver
On the 9th of March at 5:52pm, an officer on patrol received a notification of a possible suspended driver travelling on Cannifton Road.
The vehicle was stopped and the driver was confirmed to be suspended.
The 27-year-old Belleville resident was charged with driving while suspended, having an unvalidated permit, being in possession of more than one driver’s licence and not being in possession of a valid insurance card.
The driver was issued a summons for a May court date.
