Cobourg Police – Peterborough Man Facing Domestic Related Charges

A 24-year-old Peterborough man is facing domestic related charges.

In October 2024, police opened an investigation into a domestic incident. On Thursday, March 6, 2025, a
24-year-old Peterborough man attended the Cobourg Police Station to turn himself in on the strength of
outstandingwarrants held by the C obourg Police Service. The man was arrested and charged with the
following charges:

• Three counts of Mischief – Domestic – Contrary to section 430(4)

• Intimidation – Uses or Threatens Use of Violence – C ontrary to section 423(1)(a)

• Forcible C onfinement – Contrary to section 279(2)

• Utter Threats – Death or Bodily Harm – C ontrary to section 264.1(1)(a)

• Fail to Attend Court after Having Appeared – Contrary to section 145(2)(b)

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
