Township of Hamilton Wins International Award for 2025 Budget Package

The Township of Hamilton is proud to announce that for the third consecutive year, it has received the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its 2025 budget package.

This prestigious award is the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting and signifies a major achievement by the Township.

In addition to receiving the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award, the Township’s budget has earned special recognition for its Long-Range Operating Financial Plans.

This additional honor highlights the Township’s forward-thinking financial planning and commitment to sustainable operations.

The award reflects the dedication of Council and staff to meet the highest standards of transparency and fiscal responsibility. To qualify for the award, the Township’s budget had to meet nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation in areas such as policy, financial planning, operations, and communication.
