Quinte West OPP – Quebec Man Charged After Two Stolen Vehicles Recovered (Name Released)

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has recovered two stolen vehicles while conducting traffic enforcement on Highway 401.

On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, just after 2:00 a.m., officers checked on a tractor trailer at the ONRoute on Highway 401 eastbound in the City of Quinte West.

As part of the investigation officers discovered there were two stolen vehicles on the sea container on the trailer. The 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander and a 2024 Toyota Tundra had been reported stolen between February 2 and 7, 2025 from the Greater Toronto Area.

A 33-year-old male from Dollard-des-Ormeaux Quebec, has been charged with:

·      Trafficking in property obtained by crime – two counts

·      Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – two counts

The accused was held for a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville later today.
