Quinte West OPP – Quebec Man Charged with Numerous Offences Involving Stolen Vehicle (No Name Released)

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has recovered a stolen vehicle while conducting enforcement on Highway 401.

On Tuesday February 11, 2025, just after 2:30 a.m., officers observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on Highway 401 and determined that it had earlier been reported stolen out of Toronto. The vehicle exited at Glen Miller Road, at which time officers conducted a traffic stop and the driver was arrested.

A 21-year-old male from St. Jerome Quebec, has been charged with:

  • Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • Trafficking in property obtained by crime
  • Flight from a peace officer

The accused was held for a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville later today.
