City of Belleville Undertaking By-Law Review

In City Hall

The City of Belleville is reviewing a number of key by-laws to ensure their relevance and effectiveness in addressing the needs of the community. Among the by-laws being reviewed are the Property Standards, Clean and Clear Yards, Noise and Littering by-laws:

· Property Standards By-law (By-law Number 2012-79) – Sets the rules for maintaining both occupied and unoccupied buildings, ensuring safe and healthy living standards for everyone.

· Clean and Clear Yards By-law (By-law Number 2014-120) – Outlines how land should be maintained outside buildings, like keeping grass at a reasonable length and yards free of debris.

· Littering By-law (By-law Number 2011-206) – Takes a stance against littering on private and public properties, including parks and roads.

· Noise By-law (By-law Number 2011-180) – Regulates allowable noise types and times, helping everyone enjoy a more peaceful community.

Complete copies of each by-law can be downloaded through the project page at Belleville.ca/BylawReview. Members of the public are invited to provide their input by taking the By-law Review Survey before March 4.

Feedback collected will be compiled, presented to the review committee and considered in the redevelopment of the by-laws. For more information, please contact the project team.
