Port Hope Police – Incidents Include Assault with a Weapon, Fail to Comply (No Names Released)

Assault with a Weapon
A 39-year-old female of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Weapon after an incident with her partner.

The female and male victim have been in an on again/off again relationship for some time. On February 1, 2025, police were dispatched to the male’s address in Port Hope with respect to an assault. The male stated the female attended his residence and assaulted him with a 2×1 piece of wood. The female was already wanted on a previous assault on another person.

The female was located nearby and arrested for assault with a weapon on her male partner, as well as the previous assault she was wanted for. The accused was held for a show cause hearing.

Fail to comply with release order
A 20-Year-old Port Hope male was arrested and charged with failure to comply to a release order after his mother, who is his surety, phoned Police on February 4, 2025, and advised that her son was missing.

Due to a previous charge, he was placed on strict conditions. As per his conditions, he is to always remain at her address. It was confirmed that the males was not missing, but had breached his release order and left the residence.

Police were able to locate the male, and he was arrested and charged with the above. He was held for a bail hearing.
