City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Investigating Structure Fire

On February 6th, 2025, Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Fire Services, responded to a structure fire in the Snug Harbour area.

Emergency personnel were called to a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, Fire Rescue had already successfully extinguished the fire.

The OPP and fire officials are actively investigating the incident, and an increased police presence is expected in the area of Snug Harbour as part of the ongoing investiga tion.

Police are asking the public to avoid the area while the investigation continues. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
