Video – Enjoying Winter Activities on Rice Lake

In Editor Choice, Weather

Bewdley is the place for winter activity in Northumberland County.

There is always something to do and Saturday, January 11, 2025 was no exception.

With the frigid temperatures over the last several days there were many people on Rice Lake participating in various activities.

Upwards of 20 fishing huts were on the ice.

Families were enjoying not only the fishing, but clearing an area around the huts for skating.

Nearby a number of motorcycles fitted for the ice had a section cleared off for a track.

Always remember when on area waterways that no ice is safe ice.
