Northumberland OPP – Pickup Avoids Deer But Collides with Tree

On January 8, 2025, at approximately 8:50 p.m., Northumberland OPP received a report regarding a single vehicle collision on Theatre Road in the Township of Hamilton.

The caller advised they attempted to avoid a deer and collided with a tree.

Emergency Medical Services were also dispatched to the location for reported injuries to the lone occupant.

Officers arrived and spoke with the driver of a passenger vehicle who had sustained minor injuries. The individual was then treated by medical personnel.

No other persons were involved and police and not treating the incident as suspicious at this time.
