Northumberland OPP Cobourg Man Charged with Dangerous Operation, Mischief, Stunt Driving (Name Released)

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating an incident following a disturbance at a business in Roseneath.

On January 7, 2025, shortly before 7:00 p.m., police responded to a report of an individual causing issues for staff and driving erratically in the parking lot while patrons were present.

The subject of the complaint had left the area prior to the arrival of police. Following an investigation, a person was identified and sought in connection to the incident.

On January 8, 2025, Harrison KIRTON (age 19) from Cobourg, was arrested and charged with:

– Dangerous operation

– Mischief under $5,000

– Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt.

In addition to a future court date, the accused had their licence suspended for 30 days and vehicle impounded for 14 days.
