Belleville Police – Incidents Include Seeking Public’s Assistance, Arrested on Warrant

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 72 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on January 6, 2025 to 5:00 am on January 7, 2025

Police seeking public’s assistance in identifying suspect and associated vehicle
Belleville Police were called to a North Front Street business on the 5th of January after an employee discovered three broken windows. The subsequent police investigation revealed that at approximately 2:15am, a dark SUV pulled up to the business and a male suspect exited wearing a green sweater.

The suspect took out three rocks from the front pocket of his sweater and threw them at the business causing the large front windows to break. The suspect returned to the vehicle which then fled down an adjacent side street.

The vehicle is believed to be a dark colored mid 2000’s Chrysler Aspen.

The suspect is wearing a green Roots hoodie sweater, dark pants and dark shoes.

Arrested on Warrant
On the 6th of January at 11:30pm, Belleville Police were called to the intersection of Coleman St. at Catherine St. regarding a male who was barefoot and walking in the middle of the intersection.

Police identified the male as 44-year-old Sean Morrissey of no fixed address.

Upon further investigation, police learned that Morrissey was the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant for criminal harassment, disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence, assault with intent to resist arrest and fail to attend court.

He was held for a bail hearing.
