City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Norwood Man, Port Hope Woman Face Multiple Charges (Names Released)

Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call for service involving a suspected impaired driver in Fenelon Falls.

On Saturday December 07, 2024 at approximately 3:54 am officers were notified of a possible impaired driver. Responding officers located the motor vehicle in question in Fenelon Falls. Through investigation the driver and passenger were arrested and charged with Criminal Code, Controlled Drug and Substances Act , Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act and Liquor License Act offences.

Cody Puffer, 35-year-old of Norwood, was charged with:

Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition

Possession of a Schedule I substance – Cocaine

Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code

Obstruct Peace Officer

Breach of Recognizance

Fail to Comply with Probation Order (x2)

Fail to Have Insurance Card

Drive Motor Vehicle with Liquor Readily Available

 

Ashley Fenton, 31-year-old of Port Hope was charged with:

Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine

Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition

Fail to Comply with Probation Order

Both driver and passenger were held for a bail hearing with the Ontario Court of Justice.
