Hundreds of people came out for the start of Christmas Magic.

The crowd gathered in front of Victoria Hall with a number of activities taking place including the Rotary Club of Cobourg handing out hot chocolate, Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank accepting non-perishable food items and handing out pairs of glasses that lit up and of course Santa Claus made his way down from the North Pole to greet visitors.

After a short countdown the lights of Victoria Hall turned on, then the crowd made their way down to Rotary Harbourfront Park.

A number of vendors were set-up around the frink while the band Vinyl Groovz played Christmas music.

There were also horse drawn carriage rides for families.

The countdown then began again marking the lighting of over 150,000 lights in the park and also in Victoria Park.

Christmas lights were be lit from November 22 to January 5, 2025 for everyone to enjoy.
