Video – Peterborough Police – Peterborough Man Charged with Second Degree Murder (Name Released)

A 38-year-old Peterborough man has been charged with second degree murder in what police are callign a “targeted incident” on Saturday, November 16, 2024.

At approximately 7:50pm on November 16, 2024, officers were called to an apartment building in the Bonaccord Street and Monaghan Road area about an altercation between two tenants. Upon arrival, officers located a man outside the building without vital signs. Life-saving measures were given by police officers and paramedics; however, the 62-year-old male victim was pronounced deceased at Peterborough Regional Health Centre a short time later.

As a result of an investigation, 38-year-old Ben Turner of Peterborough was arrested and charged with:

  • Second-Degree Murder

The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, November 17, 2024.
