Seven people are displaced following a fire in Brighton on Saturday, November 16, 2024.

Brighton Fire Service received the call for a structure fire at 127 Main Street at approximately 12:20 a.m.

When crews arrived there was heavy smoke coming from the roof area.

With the risk of collapse, firefighters fought the fire that was confined to the roof from the exterior of the two-storey building that housed two apartments.

A aerial truck from Trent Hills Fire Department was also called to help gain access to the fire through the steel roof.

Firefighters are still trying to determine a cause and no one was injured in the fire.
