Cobourg Police – Looking for Public’s Assistance in Ongoing Investigation

Cobourg Police Service is seeking information in an ongoing investigation into repeated targeted mischief incidents at a home on College Street in Cobourg. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Between March 2023 and November 9, 2024, the homeowners of a residence on College Street experienced several incidents of mischief causing damage to the home. Incidents include their house being egged and the front door being kicked causing damage. These incidents have typically taken place around midnight on Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays. The most recent incidents happened on:

• November 9, 2024, at about 12:15 a.m.

• October 17, 2024, at about 11:15 p.m.

• September 28, 2024, sometime overnight

Police are working to identify individuals involved in the incidents and encourage anyone with information to come forward.

In a recent incident on November 9, 2024, at about 12:15 a.m., a male exits a car, runs onto the porch of the residence, hits or kicks the door, and then drives away. The involved vehicle appears to be a light-coloured fourdoor car.

In an incident on October 17, 2024, at about 11:15 p.m., a dark-coloured car parked in front of the residence, and two individuals exited the vehicle, threw eggs at the house and drove away. The involved vehicle appears to be a dark-coloured four-door car.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information, dashcam, or CCTV footage of the area is asked to call police at 905-372-6821 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS or visiting stopcrimehere.ca. Tips received through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward.
