Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged with Assault (No Name Released)

A 44-year-old Cobourg man has been charged after police responded to a report of assault on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at approximately 9:15 a.m., police were dispatched to an assault at a business on Elgin Street West in Cobourg.

Police attended and spoke with the victim, who advised that a man was throwing items at them, and they were videotaping the incident with their cell phone when the man hit the phone out of their hands.

As a result of the police investigation, a 44-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with assault.

The accused was released on an undertaking with conditions.
