Cobourg Police – Domestic Mischief and Intimidation

A man is facing numerous intimate-partner-related charges following an incident on Sunday.

On October 20, 2024, at approximately 8:30 am, police were dispatched to a disturbance in the north end of Town. Officers arrived on scene to find a male damaging a vehicle.

Following a police investigation, it was determined that the man had committed numerous offences against his partner. No physical injuries were reported.

The 24-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

Two counts of Mischief Under $5000 – Domestic

Intimidation – Use or Threatens Use of Violence

Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm

Forcible Confinement

Mischief under $5,000

The male was held for a show cause hearing and remanded into custody awaiting a future court date.
