Video – Cobourg Public Works Clean Up Debris Along Creek by Brookside

In Local

Members of Cobourg Public Works cleaned up an area around a small creek just south of King Street East on Monday, October 7, 2024.

A homeless woman had been staying along the sidewalk at the bridge for the past few weeks.

Numerous items were dumped in the creek over a time period, including parts of a tent, clothing, sleeping bag and drug paraphernalia.

On Monday, crews from public works cleaned up the area and brought in heavy machinery to take it away.
