Cobourg Police – Woman Sustains Serious Injuries at Encampment (No Names Released)

On Tuesday, October 2, 2024, members of the Cobourg Police Service were called to the area of the
encampment on King Street East in the Town of Cobourg due to an altercation.

As a result of this altercation one adult female was alleged to have been assaulted receiving serious injuries.

Further investigation revealed a small quantity of suspected crystal methamphetamine on her person.

As a result of this investigation, one 54-year-old adult female from Cobourg is charged with assault cause
bodily harm contrary to the Criminal Code and possession of a controlled substance where a small quantity of suspected crystal methamphetamine was seized contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
