Cobourg Police – Cobourg Woman Charged with Theft and Fraud (No Name Released)

A 28-year-old Cobourg woman is facing charges after an internal theft investigation at a local business.

On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at approximately 2:10 p.m., police responded to a north-end business after the management completed an internal theft investigation and discovered evidence of an employee stealing and defrauding them.

Officers attended and reviewed the evidence. As a result, a 28-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 and fraud under $5,000.

The accused was released on an undertaking with a court date of November 6, 2024.
