The third annual Show and Shine for Spencer Devine held on August 18th, 2024, was a tremendous success, raising $4000 for the Canadian Mental Health Association, Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge.

Even after the understandably hindered attendance due to the heavy rain and winds, the event, organized by Spencer’s mother and brother, Liz Jeffries-Bradley and Chase Devine, received overwhelming support in its third year as a vital part of the community. Mayor of Port Hope, Olena Hankivsky, and Port Hope Police Chief Tim Farquharson were also present to support the cause. The event featured an extraordinary showcase of vehicles, each more impressive than the last. This spectacular display was perfectly complemented by a spread of amazing food, provided by a variety of vendors. Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, live music performances by Matt Marcuz and Chris Martell complemented the cheerful energy at the event.

“It’s remarkable to see the incredible success of this year’s Show and Shine for Spencer Devine car show. Both Liz and Chase have worked tirelessly to grow this event into the successful fundraiser it is.” said Jack Veitch, Manager of Community Engagement and Education with CMHA HKPR. “Their hard work and dedication has allowed our branch to continue to promote mental health awareness for those throughout Port Hope and Northumberland County.”
