Breaking News – Kingston Police – Two People Dead, Another Critical After Stabbing at Encampment

On September 12, 2024, at approximately 10:40 a.m. members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to a report of a serious assault at the encampment around the safe injection site / Consumption Treatment Services (CTS) and Integrated Care Hub (ICH) at 661 Montreal Street.

Upon arriving on scene, officers located three victims as well as a male suspect. The suspect was contained in the area where police remain engaged in an active standoff situation with the suspect.

The victims, who were suffering injuries consistent with those caused by an edged weapon and blunt instrument were transported to local hospital with life threatening injuries. Two of the victims have succumbed to their injuries while the third remains in hospital with life threatening injuries.
