Northumberland OPP – Peterborough Man Charged with Assault (Name Released)

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have made an arrest following a report of an assault.

On August 27, 2024, at approximately 11:10 a.m., OPP responded to a residential address in the Township of Hamilton regarding an altercation in progress.

Officers arrived at the location and the individual was still in the residence having entered to engage with the complainant. The dispute arose over work that had been carried out by the accused. The victim did not require Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

Rahmish ATTAIE, (age 36) of Peterborough, has been charged with:

  • Assault
  • Unlawfully in dwelling house

The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
