Sip and Support Ed’s House with ‘Hops for Hospice’ Fundraiser

In Upcoming Events

Raise your glass and make a difference with the ‘Hops for Hospice’ fundraiser. Enjoy the crisp and refreshing ‘Port Hop’ West Coast Pilsner while supporting the Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre Foundation.

From now until the beer is gone, enjoy a delicious ‘Port Hop’ and contribute to a meaningful cause. This specially crafted pilsner is available at three popular local spots in Port Hope:

  • Ganaraska Brewing Company
  • The Thirsty Goose
  • The Beamish House

For every pint sold, $1 will be donated, and 50¢ from each can will benefit the Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre Foundation. These funds will help continue to provide compassionate care for individuals and families in need, ensuring comfort and support during challenging times.

This year is significant, as Ed’s House recently completed its expansion from a 6-suite hospice facility to a 10-suite facility fulfilling the original goal as set out by their visionary build team. This allows Ed’s House to provide even more compassionate care than ever.

“This is a perfect way to wrap up the summer and kick off fall by enjoying a quality pint with friends and family,” said Trish Baird, CEO of Community Care Northumberland. “We’re grateful for the support from Ganaraska Brewing Company, The Thirsty Goose, and The Beamish House. Plus, it’s a great opportunity to support local businesses in Port Hope that have been affected by the construction.”

The ‘Hops for Hospice’ fundraiser will run until the ‘Port Hop’ is no longer available, so be sure to visit the participating venues soon to enjoy this refreshing brew and make your contribution.
