Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged with Theft Under, Carry Concealed Weapon (No Name Released)

A 37-year-old Cobourg man has been charged after a theft from a business on Buchanan Street.

On Saturday, August 17, 2024, at approximately 8:00 a.m., police responded to a theft in progress from a
business on Buchanan Street in which a storage container was entered and items removed. A man seen leaving the property was located by police a short distance away and placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest revealed a knife concealed on the man.

As the result of the police investigation, a 37-year-old man from Cobourg is charged with theft under $5,000, Possession of Property obtained by Crime, and Carry Concealed Weapon.

The accused was released on an Undertaking with conditions and a future court date.
