The final show of the Capitol Theatre’s 2024 summer season is the world premiere of Christmastown by Canadian playwright Briana Brown, on stage now until September 1.
To help get visitors into the holiday spirit, the Capitol is running a mini version of its beloved Festival of Lights and Trees, and a Christmastown Food Drive, during the run of the show.
The Christmastown Food Drive kicked off with a generous $500 cash donation from its team of dedicated Capitol Theatre volunteers. When you visit the theatre, please consider bringing a donation to the local food bank—or make a cash donation instead. All proceeds will be donated to the Northumberland Fair Share Food Bank.
Theatre sponsor Clearway Construction Inc. is also honoured to sponsor the Capitol with a donation towards the Christmastown Mini-Festival of Lights and Trees, which will in turn support the local business of Port Hope!
The Chistmastown Elfs will decorate three trees with $2,500 worth of gift cards for downtown Port Hope businesses. Enter to win when you visit the theatre. The draw date is September 1st!
