Quinte West OPP – Trenton Man Charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine (Name Released)

A Trenton resident has been charged with trafficking after a significant seizure of suspected methamphetamine.

On Sunday, August 11, 2024, members of Quinte West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a suspicious person on Dundas Street West. Officers located the individual and seized a clear plastic package, containing a substance believed to be methamphetamine.

The individual was arrested and searched, resulting in the discovery of additional plastic bags containing suspected methamphetamine. Over 50-grams was seized in total.

Scott COMEAU, aged 34 of Trenton, was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine.

The accused remains in custody, with a bail hearing scheduled before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
