Video – Thousands of Dollars In Damage for a Few Dollars of Copper in Cobourg

In Local, Police Blotter

Cobourg Police have no comment after a few dollars worth of copper has caused thousands of dollars damage to three air conditioners in downtown Cobourg.

The incident was reported to police early last week, but Cobourg Police stated they will not be issuing a release.

One person stated the copper cut from the machines would likely amount to under $30, but with each one of the machines destroyed the value to replace could easily exceed $10,000.

The location of the three businesses is just to the east of Victoria Hall.

Police cameras are located near where the incidents took place, but with nothing released by police, it’s unknown if any suspect/s were caught on video.
