Video – Holiday Weekend Wraps Up with Heavy Traffic on Highway 401

In Local

As the holiday weekend wrapped up there was the usual amount of traffic heading westbound on Highway 401 at Grafton on Monday, August 5, 2024.

At 7:30 p.m. traffic was already backed up at Grafton, but there was a constant stream of vehicles getting on the highway from Lyle Street at Grafton.

One vehicle was reversing backwards up the on-ramp creating what could have been a dangerous situation along with frustrating drivers trying to get on the highway.

Shortly after 9 p.m. traffic was still slow along the highway at Grafton, but there were no reports of collisions.
