Belleville Police – Incidents Include Stolen Motorcycle, Suspended Driver

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 104 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on July 31, 2024 to 5:00 am on August 01, 2024.

Stolen Motorcycle
On the 31st of July, the Belleville Police Service responded to a residence in the city’s east end for a report of a stolen motorcycle. The motorcycle was stolen sometime during the evening of the 30th-31st of July. The motorcycle is a 1992 Honda Shadow, red in colour and has a licence plate of 5X1X3 attached. Anyone with information regarding this theft or the whereabouts of the stolen motorcycle is asked to contact the Belleville Police Service at 613-966-0882.

Suspended Driver
On the 31st of July at 9:28am, Belleville Police attended an address on Highway #2 east of Point Anne after receiving a report that a truck had lost control, drove into a nearby field and proceeded to do donuts in the field. There were no reported injuries. Upon arrival, police learned that the driver was suspended from driving and that the vehicle qualified for the 45-day vehicle impoundment program. As a result of the investigation, the 43-year-old male driver from Belleville was issued a summons for Provincial Offences Court in September and the vehicle was towed.
