Official Unveiling of Highway of Heroes Globe at Big Apple on Sunday

Everyone is welcome to attend the official unveiling of the Highway of Heroes Globe at the Big Apple in Colborne on Sunday, July 21, 2024.
The unveiling on Sunday commemorates what would have been Major Michelle Knight Mendes 46th birthday.
The globe was created by Shawn Donnan at Horizon Metal Works.
Sunday July 21 at 11 am in Colborne at the Big Apple we will gather with Michelle’s mom, Dianne Knight and remember the 158 Fallen Soldiers from the Afghanistan War and thank Shawn for his dedication in paying respect and remembering Canada’s sons and daughters.
Apple pie and refreshments will be served.
Donnan created the mobile Highway of Heroes Globe in memory of Michelle who was carried home from Afghanistan 15 years ago.
