Update – Investigation Complete at Fire Scene in Port Hope

The investigation at the scene of a suspicious fire in Port Hope is complete and the road has been reopened.

A major fire of a section at the former file factory on Cavan Street took place in the early hours of Sunday, July 14, 2024.

Port Hope Police, Port Hope Fire and Emergency Services along with investigators with the Office of the Fire Marshal are investigating trying to determine the cause of the fire.

The property was turned back to the owner on Tuesday and the investigation is continuing.
