Cobourg Police – Cobourg Woman Charged with Four Counts of Assaulting a Peace Officer (No Name Released)

A 55-year-old Cobourg woman is facing charges after police responded to an incident Friday evening.

On Friday, June 14, 2024, at approximately 6:00 p.m., police were called to a residence in the area of Alexandria Drive and D’Arcy Street for a report of a disturbance. Police learned that a female had used a shovel to damage a security camera and a front door of a home in the area.

As a result of the investigation, the female was arrested a short distance from the home. During the arrest, the woman bit and spit on officers.

As a result, the 55-year-old Cobourg woman was charged with Causing a Disturbance, Mischief Under $5,000, Obstructing a Peace Officer and four counts of assaulting a peace officer.

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
