In Upcoming Events

Food entrepreneurs, farmers, community members and media are invited to join the County at its Ontario Agri-Food Venture Centre (OAFVC) for an Open House this Saturday to discover the unique possibilities created by this innovative food processing facility.

Attendees will have the opportunity to tour Ontario’s leading shared-use consumer packaged goods (CPG) food processing facility and learn about how the OAFVC supports food entrepreneurs from Northumberland County and across Ontario.

The OAFVC, located in Colborne, is an innovative small-batch food processing facility that helps food entrepreneurs and farmers bring Made in Ontario products to market. Expert staff provide business development support to assist food entrepreneurs with launching or expanding their business. The facility offers food entrepreneurs access to industry-leading food processing equipment, cold, dry and frozen food-safe storage facilities, and provides opportunity for local farmers to find sustainable solutions for excess fruits and vegetables.

The OAFVC Open House is a free public event, where attendees can ask questions, learn about the OAFVC services and tour the facilities. For more information about this event or OAFVC services, please call the OAFVC team at 905-355-3680.
