Assaulted with a steel tamper
On the 5th of June at 9:27am, Belleville Police responded to an address on the corner of Bridge St. East and Church St. for a report of a male attacking people with a pipe.

When police arrived, they located three victims of the attack.

Paramedics attended and treated the victims for minor injuries.

Police learned that a male suspect became engaged in a verbal argument with the victims and then he grabbed a large steel tamper and began assaulting them with it. Police obtained a description of the suspect and located him a short distance away.

He was arrested without incident.

The suspect was then transported to the Belleville Police Service where he was lodged in a cell.

While in custody, the male purposefully urinated all over the cell.
As a result of the police investigation, a 32-year-old Scarborough man was charged with three counts of assault with a weapon and one count of mischief. He was held for a bail hearing.
