Cobourg Police – Two Youths Charged with Assault

Two youths have been charged with assault following a police investigation.

On Friday, May 3, 2024, Cobourg Police Service responded to a call for an assault in the north end of Cobourg.

It was reported that two youths confronted and assaulted a group of three young people. The victims sustained minor injuries.

On Sunday, May 20, 2024, following an investigation into the incident, two youths, ages 15 and 16, were arrested and charged with assault. The identities of the youths are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The accused were released on an undertaking with a future court date.
