Video – Enjoying the Holiday Weekend in Cobourg

In Local, Photo Gallery, Weather

On Sunday, May 19, 2024, under a blanket of fog, the shoreline in Cobourg was busy with activity.

For most of the day, the lighthouse all but disappeared because of the fog, but people still enjoyed the walk on the east pier, with a few even trying their luck with fishing.

The beach was also busy with a number of people trying out the chilly water, but certainly not going for a swim as the Lake hasn’t warmed up yet.

In the park a number of families enjoyed the park with one person using a box and arrow for archery practice (the arrow had a rubber suction cup).

This was the first weekend that parking was enforced and some didn’t seem to get that message with a number of $160.00 tickets being handed out.

One vehicle was parked two spaces beside the ticket dispenser.

Later in the afternoon and into the evening the fog lifted.
