Breaking News – Video – Cobourg Police Conducting Sudden Death Investigation

Cobourg Police continue to be present in the area of Victoria Street, north of Furnace Street in Cobourg until further notice.

At around 12:30 p.m. this afternoon, emergency services were called to the area for a report of a 55-year-old Cobourg man who was found in the brush area, just south of the railway tracks with with vital signs absent.

Cobourg Police Service is currently working with the Coroner’s Office and the Ontario Provincial Police Forensic Identification Services Unit to investigate the circumstances of death.
There is no risk to public safety at this time.

Police will be present in the area until further notice. An update will be provided when the scene is cleared.
