City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Impaired Driver Arrested (Name Released)

Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation on March 25, 2024 after receiving a call for service from a concerned citizen.

On March 25, 2024 at approximately 1:51 pm, officers conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle on Front Street in Bobcaygeon. An impaired driving investigation commenced.

Jesse Lyons 25 years old of Bobcaygeon was charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.

 

If you plan on drinking or consuming drugs, plan to not drive. Instead, arrange for a designated driver, take a taxi or public transit, or come up with another plan that takes impaired driving out of the picture.
