Video – Vehicle Destroyed by Fire in Cobourg

A vehicle was destroyed by fire and another damaged after Cobourg Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire in the area of Ontario Street and University Avenue West on Monday, March 19, 2024.

Shortly before 9 p.m. firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire, but when they arrived on scene on Ontario Street, just north of University Avenue West, the front of a vehicle was engulfed in flames.

Firefighters extinguished the fire which is believed to have started in the engine area.

Another vehicle was also damaged in the fire.

The exact cause is unknown.
