Belleville Police Service – Calls Include Arrests on Warrant and Motor Vehicle Roll Over

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 95 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on February 28, 2024 to 5:00 am on February 29, 2024.

Arrested on Warrant
On the 28th of February at 10:15am, members of the Belleville Police Community Response Unit were on patrol on Bridge Street East when they observed a male known to them who was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear for court. Officers arrested 33-year-old Joshua Lemche of no fixed address on the strength of the warrant. He was later released on an Undertaking with a court date in April.

Arrested on Warrants
On the 28th of February at 11:00am, members of the Belleville Police Community Response Unit were on patrol when they observed a female known to them who was wanted on outstanding arrest warrants for failing to appear for fingerprints, break and enter and failing to comply with an Undertaking. As a result, officers arrested 32-year-old Jaquelin Bloor of no fixed address on the strength of the warrants. She was held for a bail hearing.

Motor Vehicle Roll-Over
On the 29th of February at 1:19am, a citizen was driving on Dundas Street East near Haig Rd when they observed a vehicle which was on its side. The driver stopped to assist. Police and EMS attended. As a result of the police investigation, the 22-year-old driver of the car which rolled over was charged with carless driving and issued a Provincial Offence Notice.
