Peterborough County OPP – Cobourg Woman Arrested Following Domestic Incident

One person has been arrested following a domestic dispute in Douro-Dummer Township.

On February 3, 2024, just prior to 6:00a.m., members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincia l Police (OPP) received a call reporting a loud argument that had been going on for a long period of time outside where the complainant was staying.

Peterborough County OPP officers attended and spoke with the involved parties and while trying to determine a resolution, one of the involved parties approached the other and shoved them.

As a result, a 55-year-old female of Cobourg, ON., was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough at a later date.
