Northumberland OPP – Mischief Investigation Results in Charge (Name Released)

An individual has been arrested following an investigation into mischief which occurred at a property in Alnwick-Haldimand Township.

On January 15, 2024, at approximately 11:00pm, members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call from an individual from Hamilton Township. The complainant advised that while leaving a property in Alnwick-Haldimand Township, something struck the rear window of their vehicle causing damage to it. Upon arrival, officers observed the damage to the vehicle and through investigation determined the individual responsible for it.

Jason MAYER, 18-years-old, from Alnwick-Haldimand Township, has been charged with:

  • Mischief – destroys or damages property.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
