Mark your calendars for the Community Skate, First Night and Mayor’s Levee
The Town of Cobourg will be hosting a variety of events to celebrate the holiday season and New Year, and all residents and visitors are invited to attend.

Mayor and Council’s Community Skate
Bring your family and friends for a free community skate with Mayor Lucas Cleveland, members of Council, and the Cobourg Cougars! There will be donation bins available for those
who are able to give a non-perishable food item to the Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank.
Date: Wednesday, December 27, 2023 | Time: 1-3 p.m.
Location: Cobourg Community Centre, 750 D’Arcy Street, Bowl Arena.

First Night Cobourg 2024
Cobourg’s First Night 2024 is the ultimate New Year’s Eve celebration that promises an unforgettable blend of music, seasonal wonders, and the joyous ushering in of a brand-new
year. As we continue this fantastic Cobourg tradition, we invite you to join us in welcoming 2024 with open arms and a heart full of excitement. The celebration takes place from 6 to 9 p.m.
Date: Sunday, December 31, 2023 | Time: 6-9 p.m.
Location: Rotary Harbourfront Park, 35 Albert Street.

First Night highlights:
• Outdoor Skating Rink Extravaganza: Glide into the new year with style as you skate to the beats spun by our talented DJ at our enchanting outdoor rink at Rotary Harbourfront Park. This family-friendly activity promises laughter, joy, and the warmth of community spirit. In the event the weather does not cooperate, and Town staff are unable to make ice we will still party and dance together in the same location!

• Horse and Wagon Ride Under the Stars: Embrace the magic of the season with a cozy Horse and Wagon Ride through the heart of Cobourg. Marvel at the twinkling lights of Christmas Magic as you and your loved ones enjoy a memorable journey through the holiday wonderland.

• Dazzling Fireworks Over the Harbour: For those concerned about staying up until midnight, worry not! At 8 p.m. we’ll light up the night sky with a spectacular fireworks display over the harbour. It’s a breathtaking early celebration that promises to leave you in awe.

Mayor and Council’s New Year’s Levee
Join Mayor Lucas Cleveland and members of Council to ring in the New Year. Special guests include the Town Crier Mandy Robinson and the Cobourg Concert Band’s jazz group, The Bootnecks. Light refreshments will be served.

Location: Victoria Hall, Concert Hall, 55 King Street West, Cobourg

Christmas Magic Lights
The Town would like to remind residents of the beautiful Christmas Magic lights. The lights have been completed in Victoria Park and the bandshell, in addition to the lights in Rotary Harbourfront Park. The lights in Victoria Park will remain on until Sunday, January 7 and in Rotary Harbourfront Park will remain on until Family Day for all to enjoy.
