Northumberland Hills Hospital’s staff, physicians, midwives and volunteers are looking forward to welcoming visitors on Oct. 18 to help the hospital celebrate its first 20 years.

Details were shared with the hospital board at its October meeting, with news of an afternoon and evening of special behind-the-scenes tours, information sharing and fun that runs from 3 to 6:30 p.m.

President and Chief Executive Officer Susan Walsh noted that this will be the occasion of the launch of their new brand and logo as well.

Board chair Beth Selby acknowledged the presence at the meeting of Don Morrison, who was board chair at the time. The months leading up to the opening included regular reports on the building’s progress, and always included his famous five words – on time and on budget.

Tours of key areas of the hospital will leave at 15-minute intervals, before and after which visitors can meet members of the NHH team in the Main Street Bistro while checking out information booths and enjoying music, refreshments and displays.

Space on the tours is limited, so anyone interested is asked to reserve a spot by calling 905-372-6811 ext. 4009 or e-mailing aseymour@nhh.ca
