Editor’s Note: Today’s Northumberland has no affiliation with Northumberland News, but as Cecilia Nasmith and myself worked for the only local daily newspaper that was bought out and shut down by Metroland Media, we feel for the hard working journalists, editors and others at the paper that made this their livelihood.
