Peterborough County OPP – Collision Leads to Impaired Driving Charges

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Yankee Line in Selwyn Township shortly after 8:30 p.m. on September 06, 2023. The complainant reported that a vehicle had been rolled on their property and the driver had been drinking. Peterborough County OPP officers attended the location and found that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Christian BOWEN (age 28) of Peterborough, was arrested and charged with:

·      Operation while impaired-alcohol

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

·      Mischief Under $5000

·      Assault

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on October 3, 2023.
